Day 114 - 26kms

A shorter day today into a town called San Cristobal, it is a smallish town that sits on the side of a lake high up on the mountains.

The run out of Coban was great, the vegetation was mostly pone Forrest, I'm not positive on this but from the month I spent in the Mexican highlands and now spending time in the Guatemalan moutains, pine trees grow best between 1200m and 1800m. It's great watching the vegetation change with the different altitudes.

Today also had some coffee farms along the way, I really want to learn more about how they farm coffee in this part of the world. Guatemalan coffee is getting pretty big, there is a cafe in Manly that only using Guatemalan coffee beans.

The afternoon in San Cristobal was spent walking up to the Church on top of the hill and eating at some of the local places.

The town has two churches at opposite ends on town, with one Main Street connecting them. During the first week of August the women of the town all help to weave a carpet from one church to another. Missed it by 4 days haha
